Where does your institution
stand on AI?

The AI Readiness Index places an institution on a single scale. At one end, AI use is happening without clear oversight, often through personal accounts, without rules or checks on outputs. This carries the highest risk and delivers the least institutional value. At the other end, AI is built into workflows and systems, with clear oversight and measurement. This carries the lowest risk and delivers the most institutional value. Fifteen questions across six dimensions show where you are and what the next step looks like.

Each track asks the same fifteen questions using sector appropriate language, with results reported on the same scale. Your answers are stored anonymously. An email address is optional and asked for only after you have your result.

One scale, from unmanaged to optimising

0 to 20
Unmanaged
Highest. No visibility, no rules, unchecked outputs, sensitive data exposed.
21 to 40
Aware
High. Risk is recognised but nothing controls it.
41 to 60
Governed
Moderate. Key risks are controlled where AI is used.
61 to 80
Integrated
Low. Controls are built in, and lessons are taken from incidents.
81 to 100
Optimising
Lowest. Remaining risks are actively monitored and reviewed.
